5 Unique Cycling Cafes in Singapore

Cycling in Singapore is more convenient than it has ever been. There is a wide network of park connectors covering the entirety of the island. So, there must be cafes where bicycle fanatics and enthusiast can make their pit stops for a drink or maybe even a meal!

Since the 1990s, the government has been constructing jogging, cycling, skating and scooting routes to connect Singapore’s various parks and green spaces around the country. This Park Connector Network or PCN is a network of paths available for the public to cycle, scoot, walk or run on that covers a distance of over 300km, making most of the island fairly accessible to everyone and anyone.

The PCNs follow roads, canals, and rivers that link up Singapore’s major parks, allowing riders to take their family and friends on a trip around the island while avoiding traffic jams and massive crowds for too long, if at all.

What better way to enjoy the scenic routes the park connectors have to offer then on a bicycle!

With the 2040 Land Transport Masterplan (LTMP) in place, Singapore’s transportation network continues to grow at a pretty fast rate. Navigating around the country will only get more convenient with these new developments in the future.

There is a growing number of bike cafes that cater to cyclists popping up all around Singapore. Our team decided to take a short trip around Singapore with our trusty CarryMe compact folding bicycles to visit these cafes. And now that we have, these are our picks for the Top 5 best cycling cafes on the island.

Soek Seng 1954 Bicycle Café

80 Seletar Aerospace View

Ranked in no particular order, the first café we definitely have to mention is Soek Seng 1954 Bicycle Café. It is located right next to a runway at Seletar Airport.

The owner of this café is rather popular amongst the local cycling community. Mr. Ah Joo, otherwise known to people in the cycling company as ‘The Collector’, has over 100 vintage bicycles displayed around the café which he has collected through the years.

There are dozens of bicycle parking spaces located around the café, which you can conveniently park in, have a drink or a meal and watch as aircrafts make their take-offs and landings at Seletar Airport.

But if you are riding a CarryMe foldable bicycle you can just fold up your bike and bring it into the cafe with you! There is more than enough space at each booth to tuck your CarryMe micro bike into while sitting comfortably.

Wheeler’s Yard

28 Lorong Ampas

The next cycling café that is worthy of being on this list has got to be Wheeler’s Yard. With Novena and Toa Payoh being the nearest MRT stations, it is also located right along the Whampoa Park Connector, which definitely makes it a very ideal and convenient place to stop at during your cycling journeys.

This may be a café that sells food and beverages, but they’re also a retail store selling different types of bicycles and bike accessories. The Wheeler’s Yard café is known for its ‘Instagram-worthy’ garage-like appearance on the outside, and their very exotic and delicious meals served inside. A perfect place to bring your CarryMe folding bike along to and snap up some #bikelife instagram photos to post. Just simply park your bike at the premises of the café, or fold it up and bring it in if you’ve got the CarryMe folding bike.

Coast and Company

54 Siglap Drive

Next, in the Top 5 list of the best Cycling cafés to visit is Coast and Company. This place is a café and a workshop meshed together into one. This is a great place to make your stop at as you cycle along on your CarryMe foldable bicycle on the PCN in that area.

What makes this cycling café different from the rest is their menu. Coast and Company serves tender and delicious dishes such as Beef Rendang Hotdog, ‘Chapalang’ salad and Sour Cream Cheese toast. Not things you can find around Singapore easily, if at all, so here’s a heads up on this cafe and it’s food.

Peloton Café and Juice Bar

1 Changi Village Road

If you are going for a weekend cycling trip along Changi beach or around that area, then you definitely have to stop at the Peloton Café and Juice Bar. Peloton, French for platoon, a term in France to describe a group of cyclists, may not be a, what you say ‘full-cycling café.

They used to have a bike building service which eventually ceased operations a while back. But today, they’re known for their full head-on dedication to serve halal dishes and drinks. Mostly desserts like waffles, cakes and churros, Peloton Café is an ideal place to replenish your sugar levels. Great place to bring your CarryMe compact foldable bicycle to as the vibes and atmosphere combined with delish food will go well with your trendy and cool CarryMe micro folding bike for instagram stories.

Two Wheels Good

63 Jurong West Central 3

Lastly, Two Wheels Good is a café located right beside Jurong Point. If you are living in the west or are having a cycling trip towards the west, then this has got to be your pitstop for the day. Two Wheels Good is considered a ‘hidden gem’ in the cycling community. Unlike the majority of cycling cafes in Singapore that sell Western food and beverages, Two Wheels Good offers customers local dishes instead.

Popular Singaporean dishes like Teochew noodles, Char Kway Teow and Satay are some of the various dishes they sell which are popular amongst Singaporeans, or even tourists who wants to try something new.

Together with the local dishes, this café also sells a huge variety of accessories to customise your bike. You’ll have to park your bikes at Boon Lay MRT before taking a short walk towards Two Wheels Good.

Now that you know about these ‘must-go’ places scattered around Singapore, it is time for you to hop back on your bike to pay these places a visit this weekend!

But, with the CarryMe foldable bicycle, you don’t have to worry about the parking part of your cycling trip. Thanks to its light and compact form, you can easily fold your bike up in under 20-seconds and enter the café. The feeling of insecurity or worry of losing your bike or it being damaged without your supervision will be a distant memory.
